Maggie Bell

Co-Founder

Maggie is a recent graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and a former professional athlete. She competed for the Bears as a Division 1 soccer player for four years and majored in political science. She most recently played professional soccer for MSV Duisburg in Germany and is in the process of applying for law school. During her time at Cal, she also worked for the newly established Cameron Institute for student-athlete development and has personal experience navigating difficult compliance situations that arise as a student-athlete. After four years in the student-athlete community, she hopes to use her experience to help improve other student-athletes’ college experiences.

Conor Bell

Co-Founder

Conor is a California State Bar licensed attorney. He attended UCLA Law School, and while there, studied sports law and worked for the UCLA Athletics Compliance Department. He has three younger siblings (including Maggie) who are former NCAA student-athletes. Throughout their times at school, they came to him with NCAA-related questions that they didn’t feel comfortable bringing to their coaches or compliance departments. Conor wants to use his experience and training to bring you the same personalized, confidential advice that he gave them. In addition to CACE, Conor also runs his own law office out of Napa, California.

Elena McGahey

Consultant

Elena graduated from Columbia University in 2017, where she was a four-year member and Captain of the DI Columbia Women's Crew Team. She recently completed a degree in health and wellness self-advocacy in NCAA DI athletes at the University of California, San Francisco through a 1-year program in Clinical Research. She's also the Assistant Men's Coach at Pacific Rowing Club and a Life Coach-in-training for athletes with ADHD and executive functioning challenges. She combines all of these skills in her organization, Stronger Foundations Coaching. Elena's mission is to empower NCAA DI student-athletes to advocate for their health and wellness, and she looks forward to accomplishing this goal as a member of the CACE team.
