About Us

Our Story

College. Athlete. Compliance. Enquiries.

We are a team of lawyers and former student-athletes with first-hand experience and knowledge of the hardships that college athletics can bring. It's rare to have a perfect college experience, and you’ll probably have a compliance-related question along the way that you feel uncomfortable bringing directly to your coach or compliance office. We are a resource that you can feel comfortable bringing your concerns to, without risking any relationship with a coach or school official. We strive to be an all-encompassing support system for athletes. From providing helpful advice regarding NCAA regulations to anonymously contacting compliance departments on your behalf, to walking you through the transfer process— we are here for you.

Since we started, we have helped over 100 student-athletes from eight different conferences across the nation. Given the unprecedented times we have been living in, student-athletes have come to us with a range of pandemic-related questions and we feel lucky to have been able to provide guidance to them, keeping the effects of covid-19 in scope.

We are an official nonprofit organization that has received 501(c)(3) from the IRS. This means we are operating for the purpose of providing a social benefit and not for the purpose of making money. Why might you ask, are we doing this? Simply because here at CACE, we believe athletes deserve to have access to confidential advice and understand their rights.

CACE is not a sports agency, we have no agents involved in our services. The NCAA defines an agent as someone who represents an individual for the purpose of marketing their athletic ability for financial gain or seeks to obtain any financial gain from their enrollment at an institution or earnings from a professional contract.

If you have a future career in professional sports, that’s great! When you’re ready to finish your NCAA career and go pro, you may want to hire an agent to represent you. That’s not what we do at CACE. Our mission is to help you navigate issues that come up while you’re still involved in NCAA competition. So in order to protect your status with the NCAA, we do not provide services (such as negotiating with professional sports organizations on your behalf) that could jeopardize your amateur status.

Why Us?

Simply put, we have your back. As an unaffiliated organization, you are our sole priority. It's not that your other resources don't care about you, but their job is not to protect you. Unlike compliance departments whose loyalty is to the school and coaches whose focus is on the results, we care about the quality of your college athletic experience and want to help you make it the best it can be.
